Spicy Pineapple & Ginger

Sweet pineapple, tart vinegar, heady ginger, and spiced up
hot red peppers make for a Crooked Birch favorite. Think of
it as a gourmet duck sauce, Great as a cold dip for shrimp,
grilled chicken, sausages, and egg rolls. Also an excellent
glaze for baked ham. 12 oz |

Coconut Shrimp & Dip |

•
3 dozen large shrimp, peeled and de-veined (tail on); 2 egg
yolks; 2 cups water; 2 cups flour; 2 cups shredded coconut;
oil for frying |

Empty oil into frying pan. Bring to nice rolling heat. |
|

Mix egg yolk, water, flour and coconut in a ceramic bowl. |
|
•
Dip shrimp into batter.
|
|
•
Place shrimp into pan and fry until golden brown. Cook both
sides.

Serve chilled with ice-cold dipping bowl of Crooked Birch
